🔔 Early-Bird Registration Deadline: September 23 Register now to lock in discounted rates before prices go up! The early-bird deadline is Tuesday, September 23, so don’t delay.
⚠️ Registration Link Notice Some attendees have reported issues with the registration link included in their conference acceptance emails. If you experience any trouble, please use the official registration link provided HERE to complete your registration without any hiccups.
🏨 Reserve Your Room at the Conference Hotel Booking your stay at the Marriott Indianapolis Downtown ensures you are close to all conference activities and eligible for the special conference rate starting from USD199 (plus applicable taxes). Rooms are limited, so we encourage you to book early to guarantee availability. Reserve by Wednesday, October 29, while rooms last!

We’re excited to announce the new Governance Section Members Listserv - a dedicated space to connect, share, and collaborate on new nonprofit governance research, practice, frameworks and models, and innovative thinking.

Governance Section Awards
The Governance Section Awards continue to attract outstanding submissions, and we hope to see even more in 2025! A committee of governance scholars will review entries. We invite submissions in two categories:
- Research Paper Award – Complete governance-related research papers (published or unpublished) authored between 2020–2025.
- Student Research Paper Award – Papers written during graduate study between 2018–2025 (authors who have since advanced in their careers may still submit their student work).

Data & Analytics Section (DAS) - Call for Executive Committee Nominations
The Data and Analytics Section (DAS) is excited to announce an open call for nominations to join our Executive Committee! We are currently seeking nominations for the following positions, each with a two-year term beginning this fall:
- Treasurer (1 position): Responsible for coordinating the section’s financial matters with ARNOVA and overseeing the budgeting process.
- At-Large Members (4 positions): Help engage our members by organizing or co-hosting at least one virtual mixer during the year and contribute ideas to shape DAS programs, priorities, and initiatives.
This is a great opportunity to connect with fellow scholars and practitioners, broaden your research and mentoring networks, and contribute to the future of DAS. It can also be a springboard toward future leadership roles within the section.
To nominate yourself, please send a short bio (100–150 words), including:
- Current position
- Institutional affiliation
- Research interests (especially as they align with DAS)
- A brief statement on your interest in serving in the specific role
To nominate a colleague, please include their name, contact information, and a brief explanation of why you think they’d be a strong candidate. We’ll follow up with them directly to confirm interest.
Please send nominations or self-nominations to our Secretary, Danielle Vance-McMullen by Friday, September 12, 2025.
We welcome nominations from members at all career stages and institutional types.

Join the ARNOVA Teaching Section for a Community Café on Sept 24 @ 1 PM EST
TOPIC: Asynchronous Teaching & Student Engagement
Are you looking for fresh ways to keep students engaged in asynchronous courses? In this interactive Café, experienced educators will kick things off by sharing their best practices and lessons learned, followed by an open peer discussion where participants can exchange ideas and challenges.
