The Johnson Center seeks nominations and applications for our next executive director. Ideal candidates will have a passion for and a deep understanding of the intricate ecosystem of philanthropy, as well as senior-level career experience within philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. They will combine not only a nuanced understanding of the history and evolution of philanthropy, but also its current practice and evolution, including its equity-focused work. A graduate-level degree is required.

The Director will build a new Tennessee Center for Local Governance at the Baker School. With support from the Dean and Baker School faculty, the Director will set vision, strategic direction, and administrative and thought leadership to support the Center's mission: strengthening subnational government capacity by applying Baker School expertise to the needs of local and state governments and mission-aligned non-profits.
