Dr. Ani Ter-Mkrtchyan

Dr. Ani Ter-Mkrtchyan is an assistant professor in the Department of Government at New Mexico State University. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma with primary research concentration on public policy and administration with substantive focus on environmental and energy policies. Before joining academia Dr. Ter-Mkrtchyan has been a practitioner in public and nonprofit fields for more than ten years. Dr. Ter-Mkrtchyan is an ACUE-credentialed instructor and teaches courses in public policymaking, environmental policy and administration, nonprofit management and, ethics in government and nonprofit sectors. Her most recent research looks into the role of public opinion and community engagement in environmental and energy policy decisions.
